Le White russian ou Russe blanc, ou Caucasien est un cocktail à base de vodka, de Liqueur de café et de lait.
Le black russian, plus alcoolisé, est composé majoritairement de vodka (3/4) et de liqueur de café pour le reste, parfois servi sans glaçons.
Anecdote
Ce cocktail est la boisson favorite du « Dude » dans The Big Lebowski, le film des Frères Coen, qui le fabrique tour à tour avec de la crème liquide, du lait voire du lait en poudre.
Il est aussi mentionné dans le film Catwoman, par le personnage éponyme qui le réclame "sans glace, sans vodka ni Kahlua", c'est à dire, exclusivement composé de lait.
