Reuters est une agence de presse internationale, fondée en 1851 à Londres.

Près de 2500 journalistes, rédacteurs, photographes et caméramen travaillent pour Reuters dans 150 pays à travers le monde. Mais c'est surtout à l'information économique et financière qu'elle doit son développement et sa notoriété dans les années 1970 à 1990.

Reuters est coté en bourse au London Stock Exchange (RTR.L) et au Nasdaq (RTRSY.O). Le 15 mai 2007[1], le groupe rival Thomson annonce qu'il va racheter Reuters pour la somme de 12,7 milliards d'euros. L'acquisition se fait officiellement le 17 avril 2008 pour former le groupe Thomson Reuters.
