Personnes d'importance historique nationale --- (+)Les personnes d'importance historique nationale sont identifiés par le gouvernement canadien pour leur rôle dans l'histoire canadienne.
Actuellement, les ajouts à cette liste de personnes sont approuvées par le ministre de l'Environnement basée sur les recommandations de la Commission des lieux et monuments historiques du Canada qui opère sous la agence Parcs Canada. Environ 70 candidatures sont soumises au conseil d'administration chaque année. En 2009, huit personnes supplémentaires ont été désignés comme d'importance historique[1]. Une personne est admissible à être répertoriés, 25 ans après la mort, si le Premier ministre qui mai être désignée en tout temps après la mort[2].
