Le terme `aqida ou `aqidah (arabe : ʿaqīda, عقيدة , croyance) est un terme qui sert à décrire les fondements de la croyance religieuse dans l’islam sunnite. Il est synonyme de credo.
Sunnisme
Cela fait référence aux six articles nécessaires à la foi qui sont le fait de croire :
- en Dieu (Allah), le seul et unique (tawhid).
- en ses anges (mala'ika).
- en ses Écritures (kutub) envoyées par Dieu et particulièrement au Coran.
- en ses prophètes (nabi) et messager (rasoul) envoyés par Dieu sans exceptions.
- au jour du jugement (qiyamah) et à la résurrection à ce jour.
- en la destinée (qadar), bonne ou mauvaise.
