Médaille Caldecott

La Médaille Caldecott (Caldecott Medal) est une récompense décernée par l'Association for Library Service to Children, branche de l'American Library Association, a l'illustrateur du meilleur livre pour enfant américain de l'année. Cette récompense porte ce nom en hommage à l'illustrateur britannique du XIXe siècle Randolph Caldecott. Aujourd'hui, elle constitue avec la médaille Newbery la récompense de livre pour enfants la plus prestigieuse des États-Unis. La médaille Caldecott fut dessinée par Rene Paul Chambellan en 1937. La scène visible sur l'une des faces de la médaille s'inspire d'une illustration de Randolph Caldecott.
