Illinois Fighting Illini est un club omnisports universitaire de l'Université de l'Illinois à Urbana-Champaign. Les équipes des Fighting Illini participent aux compétitions universitaires organisées par la National Collegiate Athletic Association. Illinois fait partie de la division Big Ten Conference.

La plus fameuse équipe des Fighting Illini est celle de football américain qui revendique cinq titres nationaux (1914, 1919, 1923, 1927 et 1951).

Les basketteurs ont participé cinq fois au Final Four : 1949, 1951, 1952, 1989 et 2005.

Les gymnastes masculins comptent dix titres nationaux NCAA (1939, 1940, 1941, 1942, 1950, 1955, 1956, 1958, 1959 et 1989), les athlètes en ont remporté cinq (1921, 1927, 1944, 1946 et 1947), et les joueurs de tennis masculins un (2003).

Parmi les anciens élèves d'Illinois, citons Lou Boudreau (baseball) et George Halas, Red Grange, Ray Nitschke et Dick Butkus (football américain) notamment.
