Rupert Hine

Rupert Neville Hine (né en 1948 à Londres) est un musicien anglais et un producteur prolifique, souvent rattaché à la New wave, notamment pour son emploi du synthétiseur.

Il a produit plus d'une centaine d'albums, entre autres de Kevin Ayers, Tina Turner, Howard Jones, Saga, The Fixx, Bob Geldof, Thompson Twins, Stevie Nicks, Chris de Burgh, Suzanne Vega, Rush, Duncan Sheik, Les Négresses Vertes...

Il a également enregistré sept albums sous son propre nom. Dans les années 1970, il fonde le groupe Quantum Jump. Comme artiste solo, sa chanson la plus célèbre est Misplaced Love (1981), à laquelle participe Marianne Faithfull.

Dans les années 1980, Rupert Hine a aussi enregistré sous le nom de Thinkman, qui pour lui était un groupe virtuel.
