International Watch Co, plus connu sous le sigle IWC, est une manufacture de montres située à Schaffhouse en Suisse, appartenant au groupe Richemont.
Stratégie
IWC est connue pour ses montres de pilotes. La Portugaise, l'Ingénieur et la Da Vinci sont trois autres modèles haut de gamme de la marque. Tony Parker, Zinedine Zidane et Orlando Bloom entre autres sont partenaires d'IWC.
IWC est très proche de l'organisation humanitaire Laureus qui a pour but de faire découvrir le sport à des enfants défavorisés provenant des quatre coins du globe[1]. IWC entretient une relation étroite avec la branche sportive de Mercedes, AMG.
- 1868 : l'ingénieur américain Florentine Ariosto Jones fonde l'entreprise
- 1885 : première montre digitale mécanique
- 1991 : fondation du groupe LMH (Les Manufactures Horlogères S.A), avec Jaeger-LeCoultre et Lange & Söhne
- 2002 : LMH est intégré au groupe Richemont.
- 2006 : IWC rent hommage à F. A. Jones avec la Portugaise F. A JONES en série limitée.
