L’oromo (ou plus rarement le galligna et anciennement galla) est une langue du groupe couchitique, parlée par l’ethnie Oromo. Elle est parlée par plus de 35 millions de personnes en Éthiopie. C'est la troisième langue d’Afrique en nombre de locuteurs.
En Éthiopie, elle est parfois désigné par le mot galla par les autres locuteurs, considéré comme péjoratif, raison de l'abandon de ce nom qui n’est pas utilisé par les Oromos eux-mêmes.
