Bernard de Brocas

Bernard de Brocas, né vers 1330 et mort en 1395. Chevalier gascon au service des Plantagenêt durant la Guerre de Cent Ans. Issu d'une famille d'extraction noble de Gascogne, seigneurs du fief de Brocas près de Montaut (Landes), répandue principalement à Orthez, Saint-Sever en Chalosse, La Réole et Agen.

Troisième fils de Jean de Brocas . Il est le petit-fils d'Arnaud de Brocas mort le 24 juin 1314 à la bataille de Bannockburn, Sterling en Écosse au service du roi d'Angleterre.

Une tête de maure arrachée surmontée d'une couronne d'or antique. (Présent sur les sceaux de Bernard de Brocas dès 1361.)
