Le Géant de fer (The Iron Giant) est un film d'animation réalisé par Brad Bird pour les studio Warner, adapté de la nouvelle de Ted Hughes sorti en 1999.
Synopsis
Dans le nord-est des États-Unis à la fin des années 1950 un grand robot (30 m) extraterrestre se lie d’amitié avec un petit garçon de dix ans et un jeune artiste beatnik.
Proche de l'esprit des Simpsons et de Futurama, sans passage chanté, il parodie les films de science-fiction de l'époque dans un rétro-futurisme.
Au tracé simple et dépouillé, sa diffusion a été limitée, en salle comme en DVD.
