Alfred Saker est un missionnaire baptiste anglais, né le 21 juillet 1814 à Wrotham (Royaume-Uni) et mort le 12 mars 1880 à Peckham (Royaume-Uni).
Alfred Saker arriva à Douala dans l'embouchure du Wouri en 1845. Il y fit construire écoles et églises.
Il était considéré par David Livingstone comme le missionnaire le plus influent d'Afrique de l'ouest. Saker fonda au Cameroun la ville de Victoria (aujourd'hui Limbé) en 1858.
Dans ces efforts d'évangélisation, il traduit la bible en langue Douala. Inspiré par le pays, il tenta de convaincre le gouvernement britannique d'y fonder une colonie.
Aujourd'hui, une école baptiste de Douala et de Limbe, le Collège Alfred Saker, porte son nom.
