Alistair Grant

Duncan Alistair Antoine Grant, né à Londres le 3 juin 1925 et mort à Londres le 12 avril 1997[1], est un peintre et graveur britannique.

Biographie

A GRANT

Fils de Duncan Georges( Pharmacien) à ne pas confondre avec le peintre écossais Duncan Grant[2] et d'une mère française il passe sa jeunesse à Étaples[3] dans la Pas-de-Calais.

Il épouse en 1949 Phyllis Fricker[1].de cette union est née Emma en 1954

Il reste un des artistes marquant du XXe siècle. Il fut professeur au Royal College of Art (RCA) à Londres de 1955 à 1990[1], il assura la direction du département Gravures (litho etc) de 1970 à 1990[1]. Parallèlement à sa carrière de Professeur, il est un artiste de renommée internationale, de nombreux musées à travers le monde possèdent ses œuvres, dont : la Tate à Londres[4], et le Victoria and Albert Museum[5].vous pouvez voir son œuvre sur le site(en) Alistair Grant's works, 2011.
