Victoria de Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld

Victoria de Saxe-Cobourg-Saalfeld, née le 17 août 1786 à Cobourg (Allemagne), est la fille de François de Saxe-Cobourg-Saalfeld (1750-1806), duc de Saxe-Cobourg-Saalfeld de 1800 à 1806 et de Augusta de Reuss-Loewenstein-Ebersdorf.

Mariée le 21 décembre 1803 au prince Charles-Emich de Linange (Leiningen) (1763-1814), elle eut deux enfants dont une fille Féodora (1807-1872) qui épouse le prince de Hohenlohe-Langenbourg.

En secondes noces, elle épouse, le 29 mai 1818, le prince Edward Augustus, duc de Kent et Strathearn (1767-1820) 4e fils de Georges III roi du Royaume-Uni de Grande-Bretagne et d'Irlande.

Le 24 mai 1819, elle donne naissance à Londres au palais de Kensington à la future reine du Royaume-Uni et impératrice des Indes Victoria (1819-1901).

Elle meurt le 16 mars 1861 à Frogmore House, près de Windsor.

Son frère était Léopold Ier (1790-1865), élu roi des Belges en 1831.
