Stand Up est le deuxième album de Jethro Tull, sorti en 1969.

Premier album avec Martin Barre aux guitares en remplacement de Mick Abrahams, il entra directement à la première place des charts britanniques où il sera classé pendant 29 semaines^[3]. Il sera classé à la 20^e place du Billboard 200^[4] et sera certifié disque d'or aux États-Unis en 1972.

Il contient l'un de leurs plus fameux titres, Bourée, une adaptation de la Bourrée de la Suite pour luth n° 1 en Mi mineur de Jean-Sébastien Bach (BWV 996).

Le titre We Used To Know, écrit donc en 1969, a certainement inspiré le fameux Hotel California de The Eagles, créé sept ans plus tard. L'écoute consécutive des deux morceaux permet de constater une ressemblance musicale frappante.

Stand Up sera remastérisé en 2001 et bénéficera d'une version Digipack en 2010 (double cd + dvd)
