Frederick North
Frederick North dit Lord North (13 avril 1732 – 5 août 1792), 2e comte de Guilford, fut premier ministre de Grande-Bretagne, de 1770 à 1782.
Il débuta d'une manière brillante à la Chambre des Communes, fut nommé lord de la chancellerie en 1758, chancelier de l'échiquier en 1767, premier lord de la trésorerie en 1770 et fut à la tête du cabinet jusqu'en 1782. C'est sous lui qu'eut lieu l'insurrection de l'Amérique anglaise, qu'on imputa à ses mesures financières impolitiques.
