Bohémond de Tarsia[1] est un baron italo-normand du royaume de Sicile.
Biographie
Né autour de l'an 1100, issu d'une famille du Val de Crati en Calabre, probablement d'origine normande, le comte Bohémond (comes Boamundus en latin) devient comte de la cité de Tarsia et de Manoppello[2] sous le règne du roi Roger II de Sicile.
Commandant militaire du royaume siculo-normand, il est nommé Justicier[3] royal en 1148.
En 1156, après avoir participé à une révolte baronniale, il est brièvement emprisonné à Palerme, capitale royale, par le roi Guillaume le Mauvais, fils et successeur du roi Roger, avant d'être libéré peu après, en 1157, l'année de sa mort.
Bohémond II de Manoppello, son fils supposé, lui succède.
Son frère Carbonellus (probablement un surnom), fut Justicier royal du Val de Crati de 1152 à 1157[4].
