Morphey

Morphey est un trio français de musique funk composé de Délia Delphin au chant, Jean Philippe Fabrer aux platines et Sébastien Perrier à la guitare.

Historique

Le groupe a été créé en 2007 et a sorti la même année son premier album Trip Hop Dream Catcher, signé chez Believe Digital un label de distribution digital. Cet album sombre et mélancolique a permis au groupe de faire ses premier concert dans les différentes salles de concert présentes sur le Cours Julien, comme le Balthazar ou L'intermèdiaire, à Marseille dont ils sont originaires.

Outre les nombreux concerts donnés dans leur région, ils ont assuré leur première prestation télévisuelle sur France 3 méditerranée durant une émission matinale en juin 2008, le groupe a interprété en acoustique leur titre The Lion qui dénonce indirectement le génocide Somalien.

Morphey est un groupe aux influences diverses : électronique, rock, funk. Leur second album Rise and Shine, sorti en juin 2010 chez Believe Digital, laisse place à des sonorités plus funk et permet au groupe de restituer le son qui lui est le plus fidèle. La production a changé, laissant place à des compositions plus groovy, rock et rythmées.
