Mighty ReArrangger est un album studio, paru en 2005, que Robert Plant à enregistré avec Strange Sensation.

Historique

Mighty ReArranger a été enregistré dans le Somerset, principalement autour de Bath, et à Londres. Pour se faire, Robert Plant est accompagné par Strange Sensation, un groupe de musiciens venus d'horizons différents, dont une partie d'eux participaient déjà à l'album précédent, Dreamland.

Cet album est plus orienté vers la World Music et moins rock que ces prédécésseurs, néanmoins il atteindra la 4e place dans les charts britanniques[1] et la 22e place du Billboard 200[2].

Cet album a été nommés à deux reprises aux 48eGrammy Awards en 2006, une fois pour Robert Plant dans la catégorie "Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance" pour la chanson Shine It All Around et la chanson Tin Pan Alley dans la catégorie "Best Hard Rock Performance"[3] mais n'a pas obtenu ces récompenses.

Le dernier titre Brother Ray est en hommage à Ray Charles, qui est décédé lors de l'enregistrement de cet album.
