Gertrude Olmstead, (née le 13 novembre 1897 à Chicago,morte le 18 janvier 1975 à Beverly Hills Californie) est une actrice américaine. Elle est apparue dans un premier dans le film La Fox en 1921 quand elle n'avait que 24 ans. Elle a obtenu plusieurs rôles la même année, figurant dans neuf films en 1921, et cinq autres en 1922. Elle a tourné dans dix-sept films au moment où elle a reçu ce qui est aujourd'hui son meilleur rôle, en face de Rudolph Valentino dans le film Cobra en 1925. . De 1925 à 1929 elle est apparue dans 28 films, le plus souvent représentant l'héroïne . Avec l'avènement du film sonore de sa carrière resta au point mort, et elle se retira en 1929.
