Un thioamide (nom commun masculin), appelé aussi une énaminothiocétone, est un composé organique portant le groupe représenté à droite. Il est l'homologue du groupe amide dans lequel l'atome d'oxygène a été substitué par un atome de soufre.
Interagissant avec la capture par la thyroïde d'une partie de l'iode sanguin, il est utilisé comme médicament pour certaines pathologies de la glande thyroïde (hyperthyroïdie)[1]
