The Sounds est un groupe New wave d'Helsingborg en Suède fondé en 1999.

Histoire

Leur style musical est principalement New wave avec des influences punk rock, pop et electronica. Leur style est souvent comparé à celui de Blondie. Leur premier album Living in America est sorti en 2002 suivi par Dying to Say This to You le 21 mars 2006. Leur troisième album, Crossing the Rubicon est sorti en 2009 et leur plus récent album qui s'intitule Something to Die For est disponible depuis le 29 mars 2011.

Ils sont aussi connus pour leur participation musicale dans les films Destination finale, Destination finale 2, et Destination finale 3. Un de leurs titres apparaît également dans le jeu vidéo FIFA Football 2005, il s'agit de Seven Days A Week.

On peut entendre leur chanson « Tony the Beat » dans le film Music and Lyrics (aka Le Come-Back) avec Drew Barrymore et Hugh Grant.

En 2009, ils passent en première partie des Fall Out Boy.

En 2011, deux de leurs musiques, "Something to die for" et "Yeah Yeah Yeah", passe dans le film SCRE4M.
