Richard Noble, OBE, né le 6 mars 1946 à Édimbourg, détient le record de vitesse terrestre. Il a été le directeur de projet du ThrustSSC, véhicule qui détient le record actuel de vitesse terrestre réalisé dans le désert de Black Rock en 1997.
