Montredon est une commune française, située dans le département du Lot et la région Midi-Pyrénées.

Géographie

Montredon (le mont arrondi) est un petit village pittoresque étagé sur un mamelon et dominé par l'église Saint-Michel. C'est l'emplacement d'un Prieuré Saint-Michel qui dépendait de l'Abbaye de La Chaise-Dieu.

Le Pèlerinage de Compostelle

Sur la Via Podiensis du Pèlerinage de Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle.
On vient de Livinhac-le-Haut, la prochaine commune est Saint-Félix-de-Mirabel, et son église romane Sainte Radegonde .

Histoire

Le carrefour était autrefois le croisement de la route Bourges-Toulouse et du chemin de Figeac à Rodez, celui de Cahors à Rodez portait le nom de chemin Romipête.
