Obtained Enslavement est un groupe de black metal norvégien.
Biographie
Le groupe fut fondé en 1989 à Stord par Pest (aussi chanteur chez Gorgoroth), Døden et Torquemada. Ils jouèrent du black metal symphonique, avec une dose très importante de claviers et très inspiré par la musique classique. Le groupe sortit deux démos, Obtained Enslavement en 1992 et Out Of The Crypts en 1993 avant de sortir quatre albums, Centuries of Sorrow en 1994 chez Likstøy Music Inc., très proche du black metal traditionnel (dans le genre de Burzum ou de Mayhem), sans claviers, puis Witchcraft en 1997 par le label Wounded Love Records, Soulblight l'année suivante, et The Shepherd and the Hounds of Hell pour finir en 2000, par Napalm Records. Le groupe cessa alors d'exister.
