Eva Gouel
Eva Gouel, née Marcelle Humbert en 1885 et décédée le 14 décembre 1915, fut la seconde compagne de Pablo Picasso pendant sa période cubiste, de 1911 à 1915.
Après s'être séparé de Fernande Olivier en 1911, Picasso fait apparaître sa nouvelle compagne Eva Gouel, qu'il a chipée à son ami Louis Marcoussis[1], dans ses toiles cubistes, alors créées en pleine synergie avec Georges Braque, sous la forme d'une courte phrase ma jolie, parfois même tronquées de certaines lettres.
En 1915, Eva Gouel meurt de tuberculose à laquelle Picasso fait référence dans ses toiles sous le nom de L'Enfer.
