Larry Kwong (né Eng Kai Geong le 17 juin 1923 à Vernon, Colombie-Britannique, au Canada) est un joueur professionnel de hockey sur glace canadien.

Carrière de joueur

Cet ailier droit passa ses premières années de hockeyeur sur la côte ouest, il fut rapidement surnommé "King Kwong". Il ira jouer à New York en 1946 avec les Rovers de New York. La saison suivante, il jouera sa seule partie dans la Ligue nationale de hockey le 13 mars 1948 avec les Rangers de New York. Il devint ainsi le premier canadien d'origine chinoise à évoluer dans la LNH (et premier joueur d'origine asiatique à évoluer dans la LNH[2]). Il n'aura joué qu'une seule minute en troisième période contre les Canadiens de Montréal[3].

Il rejoindra par la suite les Braves de Valleyfield de la Ligue de hockey senior du Québec. Il y jouera sept saisons, menant l'équipe à la conquête du titre de la ligue en 1951. Il y gagna le Trophée Vimy remis au joueur le plus utile à son équipe lors de cette saison. Il jouera jusqu'en 1958, jouant pour divers clubs, dont les Bruins de Troy de la Ligue internationale de hockey, et les Nottingham Panthers au Royaume-Uni.
