Larry Kramer (né le 25 juin 1935 à Bridgeport, Connecticut) est un écrivain, scénariste et militant pour les droits des homosexuels et contre le SIDA. Il a été nommé pour un Oscar du cinéma et pour un Tony Award. En réaction à l'épidémie de sida, il a fondé l'organisation Gay Men's Health Crisis, puis Act Up en 1987.
Il a écrit le scénario des films Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush et Love, qu'il a également produit.
Son roman Faggots le fait connaître comme auteur gay très critique envers la communauté homosexuelle. Sa pièce The Normal Heart est l'une des toutes premières œuvre littéraire à aborder le sujet du sida. Il cofonde ensuite l'association Act Up en mars 1987. Il est interviewé dans le film Die Aids-Trilogie de Rosa von Praunheim (1990).
On lui a reproché depuis son utilisation de l'outing à des fins de dénonciation politique, et ses discours moralisateurs sur les gays.
