John C. Sherwood

John Clayton Sherwood (né le 25 juillet 1950) est un journaliste et écrivain américain. Il s'intéresse à divers sujets relevant du fantastique ou du mystérieux, aux magiciens, à l'ufologie et à Sherlock Holmes.

Il a collaboré à de nombreux journaux où il a réalisé des entrevues avec, notamment, la voyante Jeanne Dixon, des écrivains, des hommes de science et ufologue comme J. Allen Hynek, ou l'astronaute James Lovell, mais aussi des illusionnistes et des « mentalistes »[1].

Sherwood écrit régulièrement dans Skeptical Inquirer, une revue sceptique où il a consacré notamment des articles à l'ufologie et, en particulier, aux hommes en noir dont il attribue l'invention à Gray Barker, un ufologue qu'il connaissait personnellement[2]. Journaliste très prolifique, il a également contribué à plusieurs ouvrages collectifs et rédigés des scénarios pour le cinéma et la télévision.

Parallèlement, il dirige « Mystery Visits » un centre d'attraction (West Grove, PA) où les visiteurs peuvent le voir personnifier Sherlock Holmes et assister à diverses activités consacré au mystérieux et au paranormal.
