Sir Alfred Jules Ayer (Londres, 29 octobre 1910 - 27 juin 1989) est un philosophe, logicien et éthicien britannique.

Il est l'auteur du livre Language, Truth & Logic, paru en 1936 et a enseigné à l'Université de Londres et a l'Université d'Oxford.

Il a été fait chevalier le 1er janvier 1970[1].
