Son Altesse Sérenissime Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum (né le 13 novembre 1982)[1] est le Prince de Dubaï et le fils dauphin de Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum et Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum.
SAS Sheikh Hamdan commence son éducation à The Rashid Private School à Dubai et poursuit ensuite ses études au Royaume-Uni[2] Ensuite il obtenu son diplôme à la Sandhurst et ensuite à London School of Economics.[1] Il a été nommé Président du Conseil Exécutif de Dubai en septembre 2006.[1]Il est également Président du Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders, du Dubai Sports Council et du Dubai Autism Centre.[2]
Il est reconnu comme étant un très bon poète et excellent jockey[réf. nécessaire]. Ses poèmes sont principalement romantiques, patriotiques ou concernent sa famille. Il est écrit sous le pseudo de Fazza [3] (فزاع).
Il a décroché une médaille d'or en sport hippique aux Jeux asiatiques.[2] SAS Sheikh Hamdan a également la passion des automobiles, de sa Mercedes Benz Jeep qu'il utilise pour les virées dans le désert jusqu'aux Porsche et Ferrari.
Le 1er février 2008, SAS Sheikh Mohammed a été nommé Prince de Dubai.[1]
