Cinq navires de la Royal Navy ont été baptisés HMS Courageux, ou Courageous.
- Le premier 74 canons capturé aux Français en 1761, et démantelé en 1796.
- Le deuxième frégate de 32 canons, capturée en 1799.
- Le troisième vaisseau de 74 canons inauguré en 1800, désarmé en 1814, puis utilisé plus tard comme lazaret.
- Le quatrième Courageous était à l'origine un cuirassé, transformé en porte-avions en 1924, coulé par le U-29 en 1939.
- Le cinquième sous-marin en service de 1971 à 1993, on peut actuellement le visiter à Plymouth.
