Gordon Bunshaft (9 mai 1909-6 août 1990) est un célèbre architecte américain. Inspiré par Ludwig Mies van der Rohe et Le Corbusier, il est adepte d'un style minimaliste.

Il commencé sa carrière en 1937 avec Louis Skidmore à New York. Sa carrière est interrompue en 1939 avec la guerre. Elle reprend en 1946 dans la société "Skidmore, Owings and Merill", connue aujourd'hui sous les initiales de SOM.

Il construit en 1952 le « Lever House », un gratte-ciel de 21 étage à New York. C'est le premier gratte-ciel de Manhattan qui est composé essentiellement de verre, alors que ces voisins sont composés de pierre. Pour cette réalisation, il a reçu le prix Prix Pritzker en 1988.
