Fionan Martin Hanvey, dit Gavin Friday, (Dublin, 8 octobre 1959) est un chanteur, compositeur et peintre irlandais. Ami d'enfance des membres du groupe U2, The Edge et Bono (dont il est à l'origine du surnom), il a fondé avec Guggi Rowan le groupe post-punk des Virgin Prunes, réputé pour ses prestations scéniques outrageantes dans la mouvance du rock gothique.
Gavin Friday quitte le groupe en 1986 et mène depuis une carrière de compositeur et de chanteur, de même qu'une carrière d'artiste plasticien. Il a réalisé plusieurs albums solos et de nombreux projets musicaux avec son comparse Maurice Jebidiah Roycroft, alias Maurice Seezer, arrangeant des chansons de Brel ou Piaf, mettant en musique des textes d'Oscar Wilde ou de Brecht, s'inspirant de compositeurs tels que Kurt Weill ou Erik Satie. Il travaille également sur des musiques de film, avec Bono pour Au nom du père, ou encore reprend le titre Children of the Revolution pour le film Moulin Rouge!.
