Friedberg est une municipalité allemande située dans le land de la Hesse et l'arrondissement de Wetterau. Au 31 décembre 2008, la localité comptait 27 880 habitants.
La ville, fondée par les Hohenstaufen, possède deux centres historiques bien distincts : la ville close du château impérial et la ville bourgeoise, reliées entre elles par la Kaiserstrabe.
