Fantagraphics Books ou Fantagraphics est un éditeur de bande dessinée américain.

Créé en 1976 par Gary Groth, Michael Catron et Kim Thompson, déjà animateurs de The Comics Journal, Fantagraphics Books se consacre essentiellement à des publications « alternatives » : comix, comic-books d'auteurs confidentiels, rééditions d'œuvres des pionniers de l'histoire de la bande dessinée, livres contestataires, érotiques, etc.

Histoire

Fantagraphics est aujourd'hui un gros éditeur mais est resté fidèle aux motivations qui l'ont fait naître. C'est entre autres l'éditeur de Daniel Clowes, Chris Ware, Peter Bagge, Charles Burns, Joe Sacco, Dave Cooper, Roberta Gregory, Jim Woodring, Gilbert Hernandez et Jaime Hernandez... Une autre partie de son activité est consacrée à la rééditions d'œuvres majeures du patrimoine de la bande dessinée. On y retrouve Little Orphan Annie, Peanuts, Krazy Kat, mais aussi des classiques européens comme les œuvres de Raymond Macherot ou Maurice Tillieux.
