L’apocope euro- est couramment utilisée pour préfixer des mots ayant un rapport avec l'Europe ou l'Union européenne.

L’euro est le nom de la monnaie unique des pays de l'Union Européenne en Zone Euro depuis l'année 2000 et dont le symbole est .
Dans le domaine de la finance, une euromonnaie est une devise détenue hors de son pays d'émission. Par exemple, des eurodollars sont des dollars US détenus hors des États-Unis.
