Eléazar (אֶלְעָזָר « qui a l'appui de Dieu »), est un prénom masculin, à ne pas confondre avec Eliezer ( אֱלִיעֶזֶר ).

Eléazar le nom de plusieurs personnages bibliques, dont :
- Eléazar, troisième des quatre fils d'Aaron et son successeur comme Grand-Prêtre (Livre des Nombres 20, 28)
- Eléazar, un grand prêtre, fils d'Onias et frère de Simon le Juste, auquel il succéda : c'est lui, dit-on, qui envoya les Septante à Ptolémée Philadelphe.
- Eléazar, un frère de Judas Maccabée, qui combattit courageusement contre Antiochus Eupator, et périt sous un éléphant qu'il venait d'éventrer en s'efforçant de faire le prince prisonnier (1 Macchabées, 2 et 6) ; il est honoré le 1er août par l'Eglise orthodoxe[1].
