David Tomlinson est un acteur britannique né le 17 mai 1917 à Henley-on-Thames dans l'Oxfordshire. Il est mort le 24 juin 2000. Il est notamment connu pour son rôle de Georges Banks dans le film Mary Poppins.
Jeune, il a servi dans la Royal Air Force et a survécu à un crash aérien. Il était ami avec Errol Flynn et Peter Sellers. Il a été marié 47 ans à l'actrice Audrey Freeman, avec laquelle il a eu 4 garçons : David Jr., William, Henry et James.
