David McWilliams

David McWilliams

David McWilliams est un musicien né le 4 juillet 1945 à Belfast, Irlande du Nord et décédé le 8 janvier 2002 à Ballycastle (Irlande du Nord).

Il est surtout connu pour être l'auteur et l'interprète du tube sorti en 1967 The Days of Pearly Spencer sur l'album du même nom. Cette chanson a fait l'objet de nombreuses reprises, dont par Marc Almond et An Pierlé.

Bien que McWilliams n'ait jamais figuré en tête de ventes au Royaume-Uni, il rencontra un grand succès sur le continent (Allemagne, Italie, France, Belgique, Pays-Bas) et au Japon.

McWilliams est mort d'une crise cardiaque dans sa maison à Ballycastle en 2002.
