Cobra du Cap
Le cobra du cap est un cobra (serpent) au nom scientifique Naja nivea.
- Description : De couleur allant du jaune bronze au brun foncé, avec ou sans marques sur le capuchon. Ne possède pas de lunettes. Peut mesurer de 1 m 50 à 2 mètres
- Localisation : Afrique du Sud, à est, ouest, nord est ou encore nord de la ville du Cap, Namaqualand, Damaraland, Karoo, Kalahari, Transkei et Pondoland mais aussi dans les pays du Botswana, État d'Orange ou Lesotho.
- Biotope : brousse, rocailles.
- Nourriture : petits mammifères, rongeurs, batraciens, reptiles et autres serpents (ophiophagisme), petits oiseaux.
- Maturité sexuelle : -.
- Saison d'acouplement : septembre et octobre.
- Nombre d'œufs : 8 à 20 œufs.
- Incubation : 14 à 21 jours.
