Blue Sky Mining est un album du groupe Midnight Oil. Dans la lignée de Diesel & Dust, il a connu un énorme succès. L'année de sa sortie, 1990, le groupe fit un concert imprévu à New York, lors de sa tournée mondiale, aux pieds de la compagnie pétrolière Exxon pour dénoncer la responsabilité de celle-ci concernant la marée noire survenue quelques jours plus tôt en Alaska. Une bannière surprenante fut installée sur la scène : "Midnight Oil makes you dance, Exxon oil makes us sick".
