Willoughby the Dog

Willoughby the dog, ou le chien Willoughby, est un personnage de cartoon mineur de la série Looney Tunes de la Warner Bros. C'est un chien de chasse très bête et crédule, créé par Tex Avery (qui fait aussi la voix[1]). Willoughby apparaît pour la première fois dans Of Fox and Hounds, cartoon de 1940. Il est présent dans certains cartoons suivants de la série, notamment The Heckling Hare (1941), The Crackpot Quail, Nutty News (en chef de meute dans une chasse) et The Hep Cat de 1942 (sous le nom de Rosebud). Selon le réalisateur Chuck Jones, Willoughby a été créé sur le modèle de Lennie, chien dans Of Mice and Men (1941).
