Vitaly Abalakov, né le 13 janvier 1906 à Krasnoïarsk et mort le 26 mai 1986 à Moscou, est un alpiniste et inventeur russe, frère d'Evgeny Abalakov.

Biographie

Inventeur du coinceur mécanique portant son nom (came Abalakov), il compte, avec son frère Evgeny, parmi les plus grands alpinistes soviétiques, ayant joué un rôle prépondérant dans la conquête des principaux sommets de l'URSS et la recherche de nouveaux itinéraires dans le Caucase.
