Son premier EP Lovers Holiday (2011), a été produit par Warner Bros. Records. Il présente plusieurs featuring : Dave Sitek de TV on the Radio, Sara Quin de Tegan and Sara, Glasser, et Solange Knowles[1]. Son premier album, longue durée, Timez are Weird These Days (2011)[2], est mixé par le remarqué producteur Dan Carey (music) (en), et est produit par Warner Brothers.

D'après les critiques, Theophilus London "approche un genre-flexion s'inspirant d'une gamme de styles, de pop-soul et de post-punk à l'electro et au R&B contemporain". Ses influences, incluent Michael Jackson et Prince autant que Kraftwerk et the Smiths[3]."

En 2011, Theophilus London a fait sensation avec quelques performances au cours du Festival de Cannes[4]. Theophilus London a été l'une des têtes d'affiches lors du Festival de Northside à Brooklyn en juin 2011[5]. Le 30 juin 2011, Theophilus London a joué au Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, en réponse la Gazette de Montréal, fait remarquer que «Theophilus London va devenir grand. Très grand. Le buzz a été construit pour quelque temps[6]."
