The Creeps est un groupe de rock suédois des années 1980, formé dans la ville d’Älmhult.
Le groupe a été fondé en 1982 par Robert Jelinek, le chanteur–guitariste, et démarre avec des influences des années 1950–1960. Robert est à la fois membre de the Creeps et des Backdoormen, un groupe Mod de la même ville.
Après la dissolution de cette formation, le guitariste Hans Ingemansson rejoint The Creeps au clavier. Après des premières parties et des concerts dans des universités, le groupe sort en 1986 un premier album chez Tracks on Wax dans une veine garage, influencé par le chocolate watchband ou The Sonics.
Le deuxième album résolument orienté mod/soul sort chez WM/Warner en 1988. Deux ans plus tard, Blue Tomato aux influences funk opère un virage à 180 degrés avec une production totalement moderne ; l'album est un vrai succès et grimpe dans les ventes de disques en Suède. The Creeps sortira encore deux disque puis se séparera avec des reformations occasionnelles pour des concerts sporadiques.
