Bernard Eastlund

Bernard J. Eastlund (1938 – 12 décembre 2007) est un physicien américain principalement connu pour ses travaux dans le domaine de l'électromagnétisme.

Biographie

Eastlund a obtenu un B.S. en physique au MIT et un Ph.D. en physique à l'université de Columbia. Eastlund a également obtenu un Special Achievement Certificate de la commission à l'énergie atomique américaine en 1970 pour la co-invention de la "Fusion Torch."

Eastlund est le fondateur de Eastlund Scientific Enterprises Corporation (ESEC), une petite entreprise située à Houston, Texas qui fournit des services dans les sciences, l'ingénierie et les techniques.

Son principal hobby était l'astrophysique. Récemment, il a été le coauteur de deux articles à propos des pulsars dans le journal de l'astrophysique et d'un article sur les Gamma Bursters.

De plus, Eastlund est un des dépositaire de brevets (US Patent #4,686,605) qui initia le développement du projet HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program) qui a été sujet à controverse dans plusieurs livres comme étant une arme ayant le potentiel de détruire le monde en créant un rayon de la mort [1].

Bernard Eastlund est mort le 12 décembre 2007. Jusqu'à la fin de sa vie il a continué ses recherches allant même jusqu'à effectuer des réunions depuis son lit d'hôpital. Il laisse derrière lui une femme, des enfants et de nombreux petits enfants.
