Subramanya Nagarajarao (hindi : सुब्रमण्य राव नागराज) aussi Dr. N. Subramanya est un écrivain, chercheur spécialiste des réfugiés et traducteur indien. Il est actuellement directeur de l'Indian Research Institute, à Mysore.

Biographie
Subramanya Nagarajarao a soutenu sa thèse sur les réfugiés tibétains et obtenu son doctorat en 1999 à l’université de Mysore. Il a occupé la chaire du HCR de droit des réfugiés de l'École nationale de droit de l’Université de l'Inde à Bangalore, créée en 1995. Il est actuellement directeur de l'Indian Research Institute, à Mysore. Il est passionné de traduction et a participé à la traduction depuis le Kannada vers l’anglais de Government Brahmana de Aravind Malagathi, un ouvrage qui a reçu un prix de l'Académie Sahitya. Il est professeur à l’Indian Institute of Human Rights à New Delhi[1]. En 2008, il a cosigné un article avec Jan Magnusson et Geoff Childs publié dans le Journal of the International Association of Tibetan Studies[2].

Professor with the Indian Institute of Human Rights, New Delhi. He is an author, researcher and translator. He has two books to his credit namely Refugees: Right of freedom of expression and communication- a legal handbook published at London, UK and Human rights and refugees published at New Delhi. He is now writing books on Research methodology, and human rights of minorities in India. He is a graduate in science and law and post graduate in Political Science. He was awarded the Ph.D for his thesis on the Tibetan refugees in 1999 by the University of Mysore. He has presented many papers in seminars, and conferences and has done many thematic compilations on these issues as part of his research work. He has worked extensively on the refugee issue during his tenure UNHCR Chair at the National Law School, Bangalore and is currently Director of Indian Research Institute. Translation is his passion which he is pursuing since his university days. He was on the panel of translators (from Kannada to English) for the state Sahitya Academy Winning book Government Brahmana by Prof. Aravinda Malagathi. »
