Kitchener est une ville canadienne située au sud-ouest de la province de l'Ontario. En 2006, sa population était de 204 668[1] habitants.
Situation
Elle fait partie de la municipalité régionale de Waterloo qui est située à 100 km à l'ouest de Toronto.

L'année de la constitution de la ville est 1912.
Le conseil municipal comprend un maire et six conseillers.
Histoire
Toponyme
Avant 1916, la ville s'appelait Berlin. Mais dans le contexte de la Première Guerre mondiale et d'hostilité envers l'Allemagne, les citoyens choisirent de renommer la ville en l'honneur du général britannique Lord Kitchener.
