Le Lalitavistara Sūtra (Soutra de la Multitude d'actions merveilleuses) est un sûtra décrivant la vie du Bouddha Shākyamuni selon la tradition Mahāyāna.
Dans cet ouvrage, le Bouddha est décrit comme un être sublime qui accomplit des prodiges surnaturels : les « actions merveilleuses » sont ses interventions miraculeuses. Cet ouvrage relate la naissance du Bouddha, sa renonciation à la vie séculière, son Éveil, son prêche du Dharma, etc., jusqu'à son retour à Kapilavastu.
Ce soutra fut traduit en chinois en 308 par Dharmarakṣa（竺法护）sous le nom de Pǔyào jīng《普曜经》(Soutra de l'Éclairage universel), en japonais Fuyo kyo 普曜経. Une autre traduction chinoise fut faite en 683 par Divākara (地婆诃罗, 日照) sous le nom de Fāngguǎng dà zhuāngyán jīng 《方广大庄严经》 (Le grand et vaste Soutra orné), en japonais : Hoko Daishogon.
